Tengku Dato’ Sri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz is the Group Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director of CIMB Group Holdings Berhad, a leading ASEAN universal bank and a world leader in Islamic finance with presence in 15 countries worldwide. He is also the Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director of CIMB Bank Berhad and Commissioner of P.T. Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk.

With over 21 years of experience in the financial services sector, specialising in Investment Banking, Zafrul’s last position was with Maybank Investment Bank Berhad and Maybank Kim Eng Holdings as Chief Executive Officer. He also held senior positions in Citigroup Malaysia, Kenanga Holdings Berhad and Avenue Securities (now known as ECM Libra). He also experienced being an entrepreneur by setting up Tune Money Sdn Bhd, Asia’s first “no-frills” online financial service provider.

Andrew Kwan is the Group Managing Director of Commonwealth Capital group of companies (“Commonwealth”) which has investments across the food vertical including aquaculture, cold chain logistics, centralised kitchen,butchery, bakery and ice cream production.

Apart from its fully integrated food production & logistics platform, the Commonwealth group also has investments in several retail and food services concepts such as PastaMania, Swissbake, Kraftwich, Udders ice cream, The Soup Spoon, Baker & Cook and NYC Bagel Factory. More recently, the group launched its transformational and disruptive farm-to-fork Kuhlbarra fillets, which has seen its Singapore sea-farmed barramundi being air-flown to major cities around the world.

Andrew and his companies have won numerous accolades over the years including multiple Entrepreneur of the Year awards from both ASME and SOE Nexia, the Business Times Enterprise50 awards, Fastest Growing50 and consecutive Franchisor of the Year titles for businesses in different industries from the Franchise & Licensing Association

He holds a BBA from Schulich School of Business, York University, Canada.Andrew is married with 4 children and serves in different capacities as an Elder at church, a non-resident fellow of Eusoff Hall-National University of Singapore, a board member of Enterprise Singapore, Restaurant Association of Singapore, Steward Company of Singapore Ltd, Spectra Secondary School and Focus on the Family.

Mr. Johari Ab. Latiff

Islamic Development Malaysia

Mr. Johari Ab. Latiff is the Senior Assistant Director for Halal Hub Division, Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM), which is the Halal Competent Authority and Certification Body in Malaysia. Prior to his current position, Mr Johari is also appointed as the Halal Auditor for Malaysian Halal Certification and Certification Body Recognition for local and international.

Mr. Johari holds a Masters in Shariah (MSh) from University of Malaya,specialization in Halal. Research of his study is on the Halal Pharmaceuticals Standard. Mr. Johari has also holds a Professional Certificate Administration of Dakwah and Fatwa from Darul Ifta’ (al-Azhar University) Egypt. He has also contributed several articles on Halal matters in several journals and publications.

In terms of work experience, he has held the position of Assistant Director at Halal Hub Division, Department of Islamic Development Malaysia on 2006, Shariah Executive at Halal Industry Development Corporation Malaysia (HDC) on 2008-2009, Assistant Director at The Office of Legal Counsel Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) on 2009, Assistant Director at Halal Hub Division, Department of Islamic Development Malaysia on 2010 and Senior Assistant Director at Halal Hub Division, Department of Islamic Development Malaysia on 2015 until now.

Amnah Shaari

Amnah Shaari is a passionate, accomplished and multi-award winning International Business Consultant and Entrepreneur who has helmed, nurtured and established numerous successful businesses, foreign direct investments and brands in Malaysia and within the region.

With over 35 years of experience as a CEO and business consultant, Amnah has played vital roles in bridging business and investment gaps between multinational blue chip establishments and their presence and establishment in ASEAN. She has established dialogues with all major foreign missions and associations in the country and they look to her to overcome hurdles or facilitate opportunities.

In 2009, Amnah setup Serunai Commerce Sdn Bhd to realize her vision of creating a connected and integrated Halal international trade platform. The world’s first Global Halal Data Pool (GHDP), Amnah’s brainchild, was then adopted by the Halal Industry Development Corporation (HDC), an agency under the Ministry of International Trade and Commerce. Serunai Commerce was given the task to develop the platform. GHDP was launched in 2015 and is rapidly on its way to becoming the epicenter and facilitator of global Halal trade as it bridges the gap between live accurate product data, supply chains and global standards adherence. GHDP was designed by Amnah to be inclusive and accessible to communities all over the world, providing them tools to sell their products globally.

Ahmad Lokman Ibrahim

Ahmad Lokman Ibrahim is the Chief Executive Officer of Iskandar Halal Park, a JV company between UMLand Berhad and Johor State Government via PIJ Holdings. He was a Marketing graduate from Oklahome State University, Stillwater USA.

He started his career in 1995 with WYWY Group and subsequently joined DHL Worldwide Express in the same year. He successfully secured many new businesses across various sectors in both companies.

In 1997, he joined F&N Coca-Cola Malaysia as National Account Manager where he spent 14 years and left the company by holding senior key position. He subsequenty joined Amanah Raya Berhad, a Public Trustee company for Malaysia as Group Chief Marketing Officer.

Prior to joining Iskandar Halal Park, he was the Vice President, Industry Development in Halal Industry Development Corporation(HDC). His primary role was to facilitate trade and investments in Halal Industry for the country. During his employment history, Lokman received numerous accolades and recognition for his outstanding career achievements.
